 About Me My name is Alanna Shaw and I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) with almost 15 years of experience working with individuals, couples, and children and their families. My experience includes working in preschool settings, in community based agencies, in private and public schools providing consultation and assessment services, and a large psychiatric hospital. I have worked with children and their families Birth to 5, teen age mothers, parents of children with special needs, parents experiencing relationship challenges with their children, and with children with severe and chronic mental and behavioral health concerns. I also work with couples and adults in addressing their own relationship concerns, issues with anxiety, and the loss of loved ones. I am also the parent of a child who has been receiving services for a speech disorder since her second birthday. I have navigated the Regional Centers and the School District to get services for my child, as well as for clients. Education - Bachelor of Arts Degree in Child Development with Minors in Psychology, Family Relationships, and Sociology
